Executive Committee ballot
Letter to members
Dear Fellow Members,
I’m writing to ask for your support as I stand for election to the Executive Committee of The Cricket Club of India. I have been a member of our great institution for 17 years.
I’m a lifelong Mumbaikar and a proud Cathedralite. I studied Psychology and Law at the University of Southern California before returning to Mumbai and working in the corporate sectors of prestigious firms such as AZB & Partners and Anagram Partners.
Over the last few years, I’ve worked across the Gym, Library and Running & Wellness Committees, turning ideas into initiatives that members can experience, enjoy and be part of.
Today, my two daughters, proud Cathedralites themselves, are growing up at CCI just as I did. That sense of continuity is something that means a lot to me.
You will find me here
A daily user of the Club’s gym, a runner and full marathoner, a former Club swimmer, an avid reader, an enthusiastic mahjong player. That is how I know what these facilities can be at their best.
Delivered at CCI
- Library — Secretary (2025–present). Book purchasing and borrowing streamlined, outdated software replaced, and regular events for all ages.
- The first-ever CCI Literary Festival — 500+ members on the East Lawns, a panel of renowned authors, a live band and bookshops.
- Running & Wellness — Special Invitee (2025–present). I design the events, raise the sponsorship, and execute them on the day:
- The first-ever Children’s Triathlon, 150+ children; Adults’ Triathlons, 100+ individual and 200+ team entries; Runners High and the Café Trail, 200+ members each; the Mumbai Marathon breakfast.
- Gym — Member (2023–25). Upkeep in the ladies’ spa and gym; curated and moderated a ‘Science of Supplements’ panel.
- Delivered the first-ever CCI Outdoor Games — now a fixture in the Club calendar.
What I will do next
- Facilities and programmes for children. Dedicated spaces for children and teens, coaching and sports programmes built around them, and infrastructure planning that thinks a generation ahead.
- Professionalism in management and governance. Clear roles for office bearers, committees and administration; stronger conflict-of-interest safeguards on procurement; and term limits.
- Sport at the heart of the Club — best-in-class facilities and programmes, and higher member engagement across every sport.
- Facilities added on evidence — a Master Plan built from utilisation, waiting lists and real demand, with a dedicated space for every sport.
I am standing because I believe I can contribute hard work, fresh ideas, and a genuine commitment to the Club we all love. I would be grateful for your vote for the Executive Committee.
Warm regards,
